Dracaena Malaika is a compact Dracaena fragrans variety with fairly broad green leaves edged in soft cream. Its small size and easy care make it a good fit for desks, bedside tables and shelves.

Care in the Saudi climate

• Light: bright, indirect to keep the cream edges clear; copes with less.
• Water: when the top 3–5 cm of soil are dry; overwatering is the biggest risk.
• Water quality: sensitive to fluoride and salts; use filtered water.
• Air: keep it away from AC vents, as dry air causes brown tips.
• Soil and feeding: well-drained potting mix and a light feed in spring and summer.

Caution

Dracaena is toxic to cats and dogs (ASPCA); keep it away from pets and children.
